Each block rides on a path rail. The block is pulled along the rail by string guided on nylon pulley. Both forward movement and backward movements are by pulling from the winding of the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">control</span> drum. There are 7 blocks and each are controlled by different diameter drums mounted on a common shaft. The 4 description boards rotate to show the different periods.
